Idea: To-Go Food Reaches the Next Level

Category: Food, home delivery

Name: XO to GO

Originator: XO (an Asian Restaurant) -- http://rickerrestaurants.com/xo/index.asp
Summary: Offering a wide variety of dishes from the XO menu, XO to GO delivers them (or offers them for take away) in special sealed packages, each with specific instructions on how to cook it properly. This way you get the high quality ingredients and preparation that come with restaurant food, but you get to eat it exactly the way you want it in the comfort of your own home or office.

My Thoughts: I suppose this is the next evolution of food delivery, one step up from "Take & Bake" pizza. Should make sense in pretty much any size city (as much sense as pizza or Chinese food delivery). The more I think about it, why wouldn't pretty much any restaurant do this, if they are already doing delivery? It simply removes one step for them, while meeting a need for a group within their market.
